FOUND!

Oh yeah!

All of the below items have been found.

~ the earrings and hairclip - at the bottom of my bobby pin jar.
~ my favourite lipbalm - in an obscure pocket of a backpack I hardly ever use and
~ the best Parker pacer pen in the world - under the seat cushion of the couch in our kitchen.

I can begin my holidays in peace now.

A standard situation

It is the end of term and as such I have a quite a list of 'missplaced' items.

Including (but I'm sure not limited to!)
~ My favourite lipbalm
~ Earrings I love
~ My absolutely favouritre Parker pacer pen
~ A hairclip I love
~ And, almost, my glasses - but I did manage to find them this morning.

Have you seen any of these things?!! Or my mind?!

A beautiful gift

My lovely lovely friend Anna has posted a picture on her blog just for me. It's beautiful and you should all look at it. We have a lot in common, Anna and I. And the more we talk the more find we have in common - especially style-wise. There are a few things we disagree on - like the perfect consistency of rice and the merit of olives. Mostly, though, you'll hear "me too!" or lots of giggling or nothing at all as we work on some project together.

It's taken a long time for us to become close friends but now that we are I can't imagine who else I'd rather talk to about pretty things, or who would try all the wines at the weddings with me or come up with crazy ideas, and understand my aches and pains, and know exactly what it's like to be married to a man just starting vicarage. I'm glad we're friends and I hope we are For Like Ever!

Surfing Chickens

Is this girl not the most adorable?! I spotted her at a beach on the sunshine coast last time I was up there. She was just taking her chickens for a walk - as you do. She would bend down and grab one under each arm, carry them across the shallow waves and deposit them on the rocks so they could explore. I'm not sure how much they loved it but it was one of the most precious things I've ever seen!

FRUITION!

The search for the perfect couch has continued... and proved fruitful! Yea ha! We have purchased a new lounge suite! oh yeah! So good! And you'll have to wait to see pictures because I have to wait to get it!

The end of the September they say. I have cynical, unnamed, friend who had a bad experience with furniture being late late late. I choose to ignore him and put a little bit of faith in the lovely girl who sold them to us!

I've already made four cushion covers! They too shall be revealed at the great unveiling! Stay tuned for the great question - "Did we get our couch today?"

Will give full credit to the person, other than my mum (who already knows!), who can guess what it's like!

Joel was installed as a vicar (that's a training pastor in the Lutheran Church) last Sunday. So far we're loving it!
