Precious ADSL 2+

Being in our new house for three weeks with no internet has driven my close to tears.  Seriously.  I have been without my own internet connection since the 12th of December.  That is too long.

But I haven't been without my computer.  Oh no!  I have been editing wedding photo's - and loving it.  A few more to go and then you can have them Adam.  And when I'm done with that Anna's shots are next on the list.  Can't wait for her to see those - and the rest of you of course.  Some time after that will come some Bali shots and stories and even some of our new place.

Oh yes - I'm back, and unemployed so I have plenty of time to make up for my long absence.

Here we go....

In Brief

We have been in our new house now since Friday last week but we haven't got our internet up and running yet so you'll have to hold onto your horses a little longer for updates.

For now -
  • Joel has been installed and is now officially the Pastor of the Lavington/Cowra Parish.  It was an exhausting day but so special to see him installed.  I'm incredibly proud of him.
  • I bought some shelves from Ikea for my art gear - thanks to my lovely sister in law for buying and driving it here.
  • I'm collecting quotes to get our kitchen done - so much fun to pick myself a new kitchen!
  • We have a library - in our house.  I need to buy more books...
  • I miss the internet
  • But not more than I miss my friends
  • I am excited about my holiday with Anna this week
  • Please don't ask me what I'm going to do this year - I still don't really know!

Toasty Warm

We're having a bit of a heat wave here in Horsham - 5 days in a row over 40 degrees.  So much so that the main road of nearby Edenhope is melting.  The council have put gravel across it to try and help but it's still almost too soft to drive on.

The shires chief executive is quoted as saying 'a one kilometre stretch of road has liquified'.

As you can imagine -I'm trying to stay inside!

Boy Married Girl

On Sunday afternoon I had the privilege of helping to photograph a dear friends wedding.  He asked me to give me a little bit of experience before shooting my sister in laws wedding in December and because he thinks, in his words, I'm awesome.  I'm not sure about that but I think I took some decent photos.

This one was specially requested and inspired by the magnificent Millie Holloman.  Thanks Millie!  I want to be just like you when I grow up!

More to come - this one's just so Adam can see!

A Line of Code

I fixed it!  Thanks for the new comments girls.  I'm relieved to see it worked.

I needed to add a tiny line of code to make it happen.  I am so grateful to the wonderful people who put their knowledge about such things on the net for all of us to use.

We're off to Horsham this afternoon for a few days and then we will be officially moving into our new house. After which you would be within your rights to expect more regular and interesting updates.

My commitment to you is this:
  • I will post pictures and stories from Bali.
  • I will post pictures from the wedding I had the priveldge of practicing my skills on.
  • I will post updates on what we do to our new house.
  • I will respond to comments
  • and I will check your blog carefully - so don't forget to write regularly!

Hello and Sorry

I'm back!  And have I got some stories for you!

You may have noticed that you can't leave lovely comments since I changed everything.  Sorry about that.  I hadn't realised.  Big thanks to Effie for emailing me and letting me know that you can't write anything not that you wont!

I'll do my best to sort that out soon but it is, quite honestly, low on my list of things to do this week so if I can ask you to be patient and save up your comments until I've sorted it out.

Thanks!
